Real Madrid v Getafe L I V E !

Real Madrid play host to Getafe in week 9 of La Liga. Madrid are coming off of a humiliating loss in the Copa del Rey earlier this week.

The side managed by Chilean boss, Manuel Pellegrini, have had a very difficult week. After losing to AC Milan by of 2-3 at home in the Champions League, they managed only a draw away to Sporting, before losing to 3rd Division side Alcorcon by a score of 4-0. They come into this contest in second place La Liga with 19 points and they sit 3 points points ahead of 3rd place Sevilla while trailing first place Barsa by 3 points.

Getafe held serve at home last week by a score of 2-0 over Athletic Bilbao at the Coliseum Alfonso Perez. Following that match, Getafe also defeated Espanyol by a score of 2-0 in the Copa del Rey. The side managed by Michel are now in 8th place of the league table with 12 points. The good news this week for Getafe is that Miguel Torres has been cleared to play.
