Reading v Chelsea

Chelsea will visit Reading looking to continue their perfect play in pre season football. The Blues are winners of all 4 friendly matches they have played in the month of July while the side from Madejski Stadium are also winners of their last 4 games.

The side now managed by Carlo Ancelotti have been in top form right from the start of the pre season. They are coming off of a tour of the USA which featured 4 wins in 4 matches against the likes of Inter Milan, AC Milan and Club America of Mexico. The side from Stamford Bridge scored at least 2 goals in each of the 4 games. It will be interesting to see what type of shape Chelsea will be in considering all the traveling they did while in North America.

It has been a strong summer for the Royals. While the reserves have had their ups and downs, the first team has conceded just 1 goal over the last 4 games which includes a 0-8 win over Jonsereds last week. On the injury front, winger Stephen Hunt has already been ruled out for this match along with Ivar Ingimarsson and Julian Kelly. Meanwhile, Noel Hunt will be able to play as he has resumed normal training.
