St. Mirren dropped 3 points at home on Saturday as they fell to Dundee United by a score of 1-2 at St. Mirren Park. Higdon had put the Buddies ahead in the 2nd half but Dundee would answer with two goals of their own to claim the points. With the loss Gus MacPherson’s squad are in 10th place of the Scottish Premiership log with 21 points and sit 3 points behind the 9th place St. Johnstone. St. Mirren had defeated Alloa Athletic in Round 4 to advance to this stage.
