Rangers v Falkirk

The league leaders Rangers return home looking to continue their winning ways when they play host to Falkirk in Scottish Premier League play. Falkirk are coming off of a frustrating result at home in their most recent game.

The side managed by Walter Smith are currently in a very comfortable position as they sit atop the league table. Through 22 games they have accumulated 51 points and hold a 10 point lead over the 2nd place Celtic who have one match in hand on them. Those 51 points are the product of 15 wins, 6 draws and just 1 loss for the season while scoring 51 goals and conceding 14. The Gers were victorious in their midweek league match away to St. Mirren by a score of 0-2 at St. Mirren Park. Kris Boyd continues to lead the league in scoring with 19 goals for the season.

The visiting Falkirk were also involved in a midweek fixture earlier this week and in their case they dropped two points at home to Motherwell following a 0-0 final score at Falkirk Stadium.  That result ensures that Bairns remain in last place of the log with 14 points from their 20 matches and they sit 1 point behind the 11th place Kilmarnock. Those 14 points for the side managed by Eddie May are the product of 2 wins, 8 draws and 10 losses with just 16 goals scored and 32 conceded.
