Manchester United v AC Milan

Manchester United are in the drivers’ seat as they return home to play host to AC Milan in the return leg of their Champions League draw. The Red Devils picked up a brilliant victory on the road by a score of 2-3 in the first leg.

The side managed by Sir Alex Ferguson were victorious away from home in their most recent league match as they knocked off Wolverhampton Wanderers at the Molineux by a score of 0-1. Veteran Paul Scholes scored the match winner for Manchester United 17 minutes from time. United have 3 confirmed injury absences in Michael Owen, Anderson and O’Shea while Ryan Giggs, Evans and Wayne Rooney are doubtful.

AC Milan blew a golden opportunity in that first leg match at home as they were unable to hold on to a 1-0 lead and now have it all to do at Old Trafford. The side managed by former Brazilian international Leonardo were away to AS Roma in their Serie A fixture on Saturday and the game ended in a 0-0 draw at the Stadio Olimpico. The side from the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza were able to advance to the knockout stage of the tournament following a 2nd place finish in Group C, just behind the group winners Real Madrid.
