Lyn Oslo v Liverpool

The pre season football continues as Premier League giants Liverpool travel to Norway to face-off against Lyn Oslo. The Reds are coming off of a loss in their previous friendly while the Norwegian outfit is winless over the last 5 matches.

The side managed by Rafa Benitez were losers on the weekend as they fell to La Liga side Espanyol by a score of 3-0 at the Estadio Cornella-El Prat. Ironically, Liverpool went with what was arguably their strongest first 11 of the summer after their mini tour of Asia which had seen them draw 1-1 with Thailand before trouncing Singapore 0-5. Following this match in Norway, Liverpool will play their last friendly prior to the open of the Premier League at home to Atletico Madrid.

Lyn Oslo are currently in the thick of their first division season and it has been a very disappointing season as they presently sit in 16th place of the Tippeligaen with 13 points from 20 matches. They sit 7 points back of 15th place FK Bodo Glimt. Their form of late has been particularly poor as they have conceded 7 goals over their last 2 games and have just 1 point to show from their last 4 matches.
