FA Cup – Carling Cup Live

The FA Cup will once gain feature heavily in Season 2009/10. Current FA Cup holders, Chelseawil once again be on of the favourites to land the 2010 cup.

Live action is spread throughout the domestic English football season and many football fans will be hoping for some more “giant killing” as football teams from the lower leagues and even non-league football aim to draw a big team. This is not only good for finances but also creats that FA Cup “magic” that makes the competetion so special.

Teams to look out for
Of course the FA Cup final will more than likely feature a Premier League team with Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester United and Chelsea amongst the fron runners to land the winners trophy. Other teams from the Premier League tipped to do well is Aston Villa and Portsmouth and Manchester City.

Outside the Premiership, there is some big clubs in the Championship that will be push very hard. Middlesbrough, Nottingham Forest and Reading have the resources to compete and it should be an exciting FA Cup season with plenty of live action to watch.

In the Carling Cup, most of the big teams put out reserve sides in the early rounds. This is give the younger players a chance to impress the manager and also to protect the big stars of the Premier league clubs.

The Carling Cup final of last season was contested between Tottenham Hotspur and Man Utd in an exciting match at Wembley Stadium. The eventual winners were United who managed to win in a penalty shoot out.
