Dynamo Moscow v Celtic L I V E !

Celtic have it all to do when they play away to Dynamo Moscow in the return leg of this Champions League preliminary qualifier. The Hoops must win this match to avoid elimination and they must score at least two goals if they are to avoid extra time.

It will be quite a tough task for the side managed by Tony Mowbray as they are still in the pre season while their opponents are halfway through their fixture list for the season. The first leg match at Celtic Park saw Celtic lose 0-1 despite having numerous scoring opportunities. Their accuracy wasn’t any better over the weekend when they played to a 0-0 draw at home to Sunderland. Failure to advance to the next stage would be a crushing blow in this Mowbray’s first season as boss.

The home side Dynamo Moscow will not be playing in their home stadium but rather at the Arena Khimki. Ironically, Dynamo won away to Khimki in their most recent first division match this past weekend. The Russians were able to take the match in Scotland thanks to a timely goal by striker Kerzhakov and they will be through to the group stage of the Champions League with either a victory or a draw in this contest.
