Burnley v Birmingham City

Burnley are back home hoping to bounce back from their embarrassing loss last week when they take on Birmingham City in week 8 of the Premier League. Birmingham City also suffered a bad loss on the weekend.

The side managed by Owen Coyle were away to Tottenham Hotspur last week and fell by the lop-sided score of 5-0. The loss drops the Clarets out of the top 10 of the Premier League table and into 11th place with 9 points. Burnley are 1 point ahead of 12th place Stoke City. On the injury front, Burnley are reporting four confirmed absences and they are Paterson, Rodriguez, Guerrero and McCann.

The Blues were also losers, only they dropped their three points at home to Bolton Wanderers by a score of 1-2 at the Saint Andrews Ground. As a result of that loss, the side managed by Alex McLeish have dropped th 14th place of the Premiership with 7 points from 7 games. This leads Birmingham just behind the 13th place Wanderers on goal difference but Bolton have one match in hand on them. At this time the Blues are set to miss at least four players because of injuries. McFadden, Jerome, Taylor, and Queudrue are out. Meanwhile, Parnaby, Johnson, Bent and Murphy are doubtful.
