The 5 time World Cup champion Brazil face-off against Fabio Capello’s England in a world class international friendly. England will be looking for only their 4th ever win in 23 tries against the South American giants.

Brazil are considered by many to be the best football playing nation in the world and with good reason as they are the only nation never to have missed out on a world cup. This year was no exception as the team managed by former Fiorentina midfielder Dunga finished in first place among the 10 teams participating the Conmebol qualifiers and their run included a 1-3 win away to Argentina. While Kaka’, Robinho and Luis Fabiano were all called up for this game, Dunga has also included some newcomers such as Fabio Simplicio of Palermo and Hulk.

England were absolutely outstanding in their qualifying group. The produced 9 wins and 1 loss from 10 matches with that loss coming in their final match. They finished in first place of Group 6 with 27 points, 6 ahead of the 2nd place Ukraine. The most notable absence for this contest will be David Beckham as his club team the Los Angeles Galaxy are involved in the MLS playoffs, while the notable newcomers are Bolton’s Gary Cahill, and Tottenham Hotspur’s Tom Huddlestone.
