League leaders Barcelona are home to face-off against Malaga in week 24 of the La Liga. Both clubs were victorious in their most recent league fixtures.

The side managed by Pep Guardiola picked up a convincing victory at home last weekend when they trounced Racing Santander by a score of 4-1. That result leaves the Cules with 58 points from 23 matches and they sit 2 points ahead of the 2nd place Real Madrid. Earlier this week, Barcelona were able to hold out for a draw away to Stuttgart in their Champions League match. On the injury front, right side fullback Dani Alves has resumed normal training but he is not yet expected to be available.

The visiting Malaga are in 12th place of the La Liga log with 27 points. They sit one point behind the 11th place Sporting Gijon and just ahead of the 13th place Atletico Madrid. The side managed by Juan Ramon Muniz are in the midst of a 4 match unbeaten run following a 2-1 at home over Espanyol which was their 2nd straight win. Among the changes in this week’s squad list for Malaga re the return of Valdo, Juanmi, Edu Ramos, Xavier Torres and Forestieri, while Caicedo, Luque, Benachour and Gamez have been dropped.
