Arsenal face another difficult test at home in this midweek Premier League fixture as they play at home to Liverpool. Prior to this match Arsenal had faced off against Manchester United and then Chelsea.

The side managed by Arsene Wenger are coming off of a visit to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Sunday which ended in a 2-0 loss for Arsenal. Through 25 games on the season they have 49 points which are the product of 15 wins, 4 draws and 6 losses. They are now in 3rd place and sit 7 points behind the 2nd place Manchester United and 5 points ahead of the 4th place Liverpool The Gunners will be missing Van Persie, Gibbs and Djourou for this game while Diaby and Eduardo Da Silva are both doubtful.

The visiting Liverpool were winners at home on Saturday as they held serve over Everton by a score of 1-0 at Anfield Road.  Dirk Kuyt scored the match winner early in the 2nd half but Kyrgiakos was sent off in the first half and will sit out suspended this week. Rafa Benitez will also be missing Fernando Torres, Benayoun and Johnson to injury. The Reds are in 4th place of the Premier League table with  44 points and they sit one point ahead of the 5th place Tottenham Hotspur and 5 points back pf the 3rd place Gunners.
